This Department, in addition to other statutory functions, has the responsibility to oversee the implementation of the Kimberley Process Certification Scheme of Liberia and to coordinate the divisions of Operations and Administration and the Technical Assistant to the Minister.

The Division of Planning and Development - Prepares plans and devises implementation methodologies for technical operations of the various departments and bureaus of the Ministry of Lands, Mines and Energy, after having received written operations plans from the heads of the department.
