June 13, 2025-MONROVIA: A high honor of distinction has been bestowed on Liberia’s Minister of Mines and Energy, Wilmot Paye, by the Liberia Council of Churches (LCC), as the Council says, the honor is in recognition of the Minister’s “profound contributions to the State, national agenda and Support to the Church, and Humanity.
At a brief ceremony on Friday, June 13, 2025, in Monrovia, Rev. Dr. Chris Wleh Toe, intoned that the ‘Church’ has been following Minister Paye’s role in society and his steps towards achieving deliverables he outlines every time he is given a national responsibility to serve the public. Dr. Toe said the LCC takes seriously, practical reforms Minister Paye and his team of administrators have carried out at the Ministry (MME), and urged them to continue to be steadfast in their respective capacities in serving the Country.
Presenting to Minister Wilmot Paye, the medal and plaque symbolizing his ‘Honor’, the First Vice President of the Liberia Council of Churches, Rev. Sanjee Abioseh Stepter, said the ‘Church’ being a significant composition of the population feels pleased about the leadership and statesmanship attributes the Mines and Energy Minister has and continues to demonstrate as a patriotic citizen.
The LCC Vice President urged the Honoree and the government as a unit to be conscious of the vital role the Council of Churches has to play not as a political party, but a voice of reasoning that needs attention in collective efforts to achieve the development agenda of the Country.
Flanged by the Deputy Minister for Administration, Eudora Blay-Pritchard, and Charles Umehai, Deputy Minister for Energy, the Honoree, Wilmot Paye, dedicated the recognition of his administration’s accomplishments thus far by the leadership of the Liberia Council of Churches to “great teamwork”. Minister Paye recounted the dysfunctional state from which the Mines and Energy Ministry has been redeemed, crediting the “modest achievements” to priceless efforts being made through teamwork.
The Minister said his administration will place the award items in the Ministry’s archives to serve as a reminder that as much as good work does not go unnoticed, serious national institutions can also encourage leaders to do more by accompanying their recognition with appreciation.
