Ministry of Mines & Energy Liberia
On behalf of the Ministry of Mines and Energy, and in my own name, I extend deepest condolences and sympathies to His Excellency the President, Government and People of Liberia, Mrs. Grisgby and the Grisgby Family for the passing of Ambassador Sylvester M. Grisgby, Minister of State for Presidential Affairs and Chief of Staff of the President of Liberia.
I learned one thing from working with Ambassador Grisgby, beginning in 2016, following the Unity Party's National Convention in Gbarnga, Bong County, Liberia, and during the last seventeen months. And that was the cool head and tolerance he wore even when you disagreed with him and didn't soften your stance on a particular issue of interest to him. He didn't take any such disagreement personal.
In some instances, people in such close proximity to the Presidency, as lessons from the past have taught us, would not countenance or tolerate disagreements and still relate to you as did Ambassador Grisgby. The soberness he embodied, his patience, effective and efficient communications skills, and long experience within the circle of the Presidency of Liberia carried weight.
May GOD console, comfort, and strengthen the President, Mrs. Grisgby and the rest of the bereaved family for this huge loss!.
